Medblogs

I've recently discovered the world of medblogs, doctors and other such individuals who write about their experiences in health care. In American society, we tend to put our medical providers on pedestals, whether in appreciation, dislike, or fear. This results in a number of unfortunate misconceptions, too numerous to name here. The medblog, however, is one way we can connect with providers on a human level and realize once again that we're all not so very different.

This article is from an author who particularly makes an effort to bring the human element into his writing. It is a poignant story about the precise moment Dr. Charles realizes his patient's diagnosis.
