The motive behind a frappucino

If you've ever wondered about the woman on the Starbucks logo, visit this site for the inside scoop. In short, she is a cross between a mermaid and a sheila-na-gig. If you want to know what a sheila-na-gig is however, you'll have to quit your loafing and make the link, because I'm not going to explain it here. The excerpt below is what I found particularly enlightening when considered in the context of Starbucks:

"Traditional mermaids are said to seduce sailors with the sound of their beautiful singing, luring them into shipwreck and death in order to consume their souls, because they, themselves lack a soul."
