The new way to meet people
Went out for tea the other night with my internet-friend Bonnie. We met through each other's blogs and eventually began emailing back and forth. Then we agreed to meet at a certain place and described how we could be recognized. It was just like internet-dating, there's that nervousness because we really had a good friendship going. Would we get along offline? Well, we did and I still think she's great.

Bonnie reads Jalpuna from time to time - thus, she is damn cool! (or maybe she just humors me with her presence - either way, I take it as a compliment)
This does seem like a great way to meet people - especially since, after reading someone's blog, you really get a sense of the person. I dig that.
Plus, blogging is like a wonderful social experiment. We get a peek into each other's minds. Every now and then, it's wonderful to come across a new blog and find something you have in common with someone you've never met. It's like a little reminder that we all have a lot more in common than we tend to think - and I think that's great.
