Classic movie kick lately. It all started with a great collector's edition of Casablanca (1942). Here's some Wiki-trivia about the film:
"The background of the final scene, which shows a Lockheed Model 12 Electra Junior airplane with personnel walking around it, was staged using midget extras and a proportionate cardboard plane."
Ever since, it's been a quest to see if there is any antique movie that even comes close to the creative genius of Casablanca. Suggestions are welcome, here are the movies watched so far:
My Man Godfrey (1936)
Roman Holiday (1953)
On the Waterfront (1954)
East of Eden (1955)
Rebel Without a Cause (1955)
Some Like it Hot (1959)
Up next, a movie for the Ides of March:
Julius Ceasar (1953)

Casablanca is a great movie. Bogart has some other wonderful movies: "The Big Sleep" and "The African Queen" (also starring Katherine Hepburn) come to mind.
Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant are other favorites of mine. Two other recommendations: "The Philadelphia Story" and "Arsenic and Old Lace."
Thanks for the tips Rebecca. You're not the first person to recommend "The Big Sleep," so soon it will be here for my viewing pleasure.
