Back to the blog

Why I have not written on this blog in over a month.

1. FAFSA. It takes 12-14 business days to process anything that comes from FAFSA. This is because they will not fax you forms or email you forms, they have to snail mail your forms. They will, however, send you emails whenever they are putting the forms in the mail, which seems like more work in the end. Just email me the form!

2. University of London. A fine institution with lovely employees I'm sure, but if I get another email requesting "just one more FAFSA form before we can process your loans," I'm going to poke my eyeballs out.

3. Visa. I spent five hours in Kinko's one day copying printing six months worth of pay stubs, bank documents, admission letters, and other evidence to prove that I will not become a blemish on the face of British society, and that was only a small morsel from the banquet of stress the visa process has fed to me.

4. Housing. If you ever have to search for accommodation of any sort in the city of London, England, start by selling your soul to the devil. It's the only way to find a place.

5. Hawaii. I cannot continue to complain, because someone will bring up the fact that I spent a seven blissful days on Kauai swimming in the ocean, laying in the sun, walking on the beach, and all in the company of three very amiable travel companions. Yes, that kept me from my blog too.

You're going to London? My internet/blog friends are really all over the world now. That's pretty cool!
