The holidays were special to me this year. I finished all my shopping in London before going home and was able to set aside distractions. My mom, dad and I braved a Kansas blizzard on our road trip to Phoenix. Grandpa told me stories about his time in Bangladesh. Ezra took me to the Japanese Garden and we went walking all over Portland. It was a comforting Christmas and indeed a happy way to start the new year.
