Some say the best things in life are free. In this case not exactly free, but $19.53 isn't too much to pay for a best thing in life. These sprouts were planted only a week ago, lettuce and carrots and parsley and peas and echinacea and digitalis, now look at them popping off! I walk past the pillar under the south window, nonchalantly, as if I could pass them by without a peek, but they wave a little at me and my heart leaps and I amble over for some leaflet love. I watch them each day, opening wider, growing taller, turning greener, and spring itself splashes over me.
