Grumpy clouded

One thing I know about living in Portland, you can't let the rain get you down.

This is the time of year where people start getting delirious from the cabin fever. The weather's warmer and the trees start to leaf out and there are scattered days of cloudlessness. When the sun comes out crowds of this Vitamin D-starved population run from their homes and workplaces and frolic in the street like fat kids in a candy store.

They plan to hike and barbeque and plant new flower gardens. But when the day, the hour, the moment hits, the oppressive rain has clenched its iron fist around the city once again. Betrayed and bitter, these poor bloody souls ride waves of misery until the next undarkened day.
