Had a great Saturday surfing with some new friends at the Oregon coast. You probably want to know, is that them in the shadows? No, that's not them, just a fun picture from another lovely ocean excursion. The new buddies, Jessica and Chris, took us surfing at Short Sands.
You probably want to know, did we freeze our patooties off? The official answer is no, because we did wear wet suits and those do keep the hypothermia away, but the real answer is yes, because this particular patooty was definitely frozen off.
You probably want to know if Ezra and me were able to catch a wave, since it was our first ever surfing adventure. Well, Ezra did pretty good, he asked all these clever, practical questions about how to read the waves and what's the best form for paddling and so on, and he even got up to his knees once or maybe twice, but as for me... you could say the surf board rode me more often than I rode the surf board.
