Judging by the cover

Though perusing the shelves, I'm not just looking for a book, I want a whole sensory experience. Here's the short list of essentials.
  1. The cover: Intriguing, yet classy. A moderately rough texture, nothing too glossy.
  2. The back: If necessary, a few plot points. No promotional blurbs.
  3. The pages: A pleasing font, enough space for the eyes to envelop each line. The faintest smell of garden soil. A delightful snap to the flipping pages.
  4. The binding: Sturdy, ever so slightly rigid.
  5. The impression: Like being reconnected with an old friend.
